Kids do this naturally. Why don’t adults?
Working on yourself, and for yourself, every day helps you to sleep better at night.
It makes sense that social media should be social to be effective. That means going beyond simply broadcasting and engaging with other creators.
Kids are always bugging us with questions!
Recently I’ve been on Threads interacting with various YouTube communities. Many creators there are around the same place I am in my video journey.
It’s a supportive place! People will often talk about their stats, milestones, struggles, and directly reach out for support, which is generally provided with likes and comments. There are days we all need this.
One creator in particular had just hit $1,000 in AdSense earnings. I checked out her channel and she had managed that with fewer than 30 videos. She currently has over 30,000 subscribers.
Considering I have over 80 videos and less than 800 subscribers, I was very impressed by this.
I had a bit more energy than normal, so I posed a question in my comment:
If you had to pick one thing that gave you an outsized return in creating your channel, what would it be?
She gave me a lovely response and a link to one of her videos detailing what she saw as the major contributors.
Had I just given a drive-by “congrats,” I would have missed out.
I asked questions like a kid, and got an answer!
What questions do you have? Let me know in the comments!
