No Way, Jose: Bad words to see if your name is Jose

When I started my efforts to make money online in the early 2000s, I promoted various multi-level marketing opportunities.

Traffic exchanges were a common tool. Using a traffic exchange was a bit like watching TV with someone else changing the channel every twenty seconds.

A bunch of network marketers, forcing their sites on other network marketers, promoting the same opportunities. Live and learn I guess!

A guy named Jose

I saw the same people over and over again on these exchanges and saw the same programs many times.

One of the people was a guy named Jose.

And one of the programs he and others promoted was a site called, I kid you not, MoneyLegs.com.

Check this masterpiece out.

The site made a few people quite rich back then. Mostly Doug Williams, the owner.

Jose bought into MoneyLegs.com substantially and contributed a lot to the community.

However, he did something, likely a series of somethings, to piss off Doug.

One day, Jose's affiliate page was replaced with this text:

NO WAY, JOSE!!

Doug was done with Jose. All of Jose's money, all of Jose's time, was taken away.

Build something you own

Jose built up someone else's site when he needed to be building up something he controlled.

Don't make the same mistake Jose did.

I'll show you how.
